Lutetium

Lutetium is a rare earth element with symbol Lu and atomic number 71. It is silvery white in color and corrosion resistant in dry air. Stable lutetium can be used as catalysts in petroleum cracking in refineries and can also be used in various applications such as alkylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization.
