3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder Description
3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder is used for the preparation of Aluminum 3004. Aluminum alloy 3004 is a medium-strength aluminum alloy with manganese and magnesium as its primary alloying elements. It has higher strength than Al Alloy 3003 but lower ductility. 3004 aluminum alloy is an alloy in the wrought aluminum-manganese family (3000 or 3xxx series). It is similar to Al Alloy 3003, except for the addition of approximately 1% magnesium. It can be cold worked to produce tempers with a higher strength but a lower ductility. Like most other aluminum-manganese alloys, 3004 is a general-purpose alloy with moderate strength, good workability, and good corrosion resistance. It is commonly rolled and extruded, but typically not forged.

3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder Applications
3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder is used for the manufacture of 3004 Al Alloy Products. They are commonly used in the making of beverage cans. It was developed to satisfy the need for thinner gauges in can-stock, and thereby to some extent replaced its predecessor 3003 alloys in the making of beverage cans. Can-stock can be made thinner due to the addition of 1% magnesium, which contributes to solid solution strengthening.

FAQs
Q1. What is 3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder?
3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder is a metal powder made primarily from aluminum and manganese. It is characterized by its spherical shape, which enhances its flowability and packing density, making it ideal for additive manufacturing (3D printing), powder metallurgy, and thermal spray coatings. This alloy offers good strength, formability, and excellent corrosion resistance.
Q2. What are the key benefits of 3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder?
Good Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to rust and corrosion, making it suitable for use in humid or marine environments.
Moderate Strength: Provides good mechanical strength for applications that do not require extreme performance but still demand durability.
Spherical Shape: The spherical particle shape ensures good flowability and consistent packing density, making it ideal for 3D printing and powder metallurgy.
Lightweight: As a lightweight aluminum alloy, it helps in reducing the weight of the final components.
Q3. How does 3004 Aluminum Alloy Spherical Powder compare to other aluminum alloys?
3004 Aluminum Alloy offers a balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and formability. Compared to other alloys like 3003 or 5052, it offers slightly higher strength but remains easy to process and weld. Its corrosion resistance is superior in most environments, especially compared to alloys with lower manganese content.
