Cerium Metal Description

Cerium metal is a rare earth element with atomic number 58. It is a silvery-white metal that is ductile and malleable. Cerium is used in a variety of applications, including alloys, catalysts, and glass polishing. It is often alloyed with other metals to improve their strength and resistance to corrosion.

Stanford Advanced Materials(SAM) supplies cerium metals of different purities, we also have other cerium products like Cerium Oxide, Cerium Oxide Polishing Powder, Cerium Carbonate, and so on.

Cerium Metal Applications

Commercial applications of cerium metal include catalysts, additives to fuel to reduce emissions, and additives to glass and enamels to change their color. Cerium metal is used as an additive for special steel, non-ferric alloy, hydrogen storage alloy, and also a reducer for making other rare earth metals. Cerium alloys are used in permanent magnets and in tungsten electrodes for gas tungsten arc welding.

Cerium Metal Packaging

SAM's cerium metal is clearly tagged and labeled externally to ensure efficient identification and quality control. Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation.
