Incoloy 27-7MO Plate/Sheet Description
Incoloy 27-7MO Plate/Sheet is an advanced super-austenitic stainless steel containing 7% molybdenum, offering superior corrosion resistance compared to 6% molybdenum super-austenitic alloys. With a unique combination of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen, this alloy provides exceptional resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including reducing and oxidizing media.
The high chromium content makes it highly resistant to oxidizing conditions, while the molybdenum, nickel, and nitrogen provide resistance to reducing environments. It performs exceptionally well in mixed acid environments and resists stress corrosion cracking in all concentrations of sodium chloride up to saturation at boiling point.
This alloy is also highly resistant to seawater and brine, making it ideal for marine applications. Its corrosion resistance extends to aggressive media encountered in flue gas desulfurization systems, particularly in high-sulfur coal-fired power plants. Alloy 27-7MO is suitable for a variety of industries, including pollution control, power generation, marine, chemical processing, pulp and paper, and oil and gas.
