Iron Sulfide (FeS)

Typical Applications

Lithium metal sulfide batteries (a battery grade is available), molding compounds (resin-bonded grinding wheels, brake linings, etc.), production of sulfuric acid, and battery recycling. Another developing application is to replace silicon in solar photovoltaics.

SULFEX® 600, BLUE, RED, and YELLOW Iron Pyrite FeS powder is used as a grinding-active filler in resin-bonded grinding wheels and cut off wheels, brake linings, etc. It can be used alone or in combination with other active fillers in organically bonded abrasives.
