2025 Stanford Advanced Materials College Scholarship
Advancing Innovation in Rare Metal Applications and Technologies
Rare metals refer to metals that are scarce in the Earth's crust, dispersed in distribution, or difficult to extract from ores. Examples include rhenium, lithium, beryllium, titanium, zirconium, germanium, niobium, hafnium, tungsten, tantalum, and rare earth metals, among others. Due to their unique physical and chemical properties, these metals play an irreplaceable and critical role in high-tech, energy, medical, and other key industries. But how exactly do rare metals contribute to these fields, and what are their future development trends?
Scholarship Overview
As a trusted supplier of advanced materials for industries such as aerospace, technology, healthcare, and energy, Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) has long been focused on the industrial applications and development trends of rare metals. To explore the potential of rare metals fully, we invite outstanding students to join us in discussing their applications and future directions. We are also proud to announce the establishment of the 2025 College Scholarship by Stanford Advanced Materials to support students who demonstrate excellence in this field.
