Write for Us

Write for us

Are you passionate about advanced materials, metals & alloys, rare earths, or high-performance ceramics? Join our contributor network and share your expertise with a global audience of engineers, scientists, and industrial buyers.

At Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM), we welcome high-quality, original content that helps professionals stay informed, make smarter purchasing decisions, and stay up to date in materials science.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for original, unpublished articles that provide clear, well-researched insights into the world of advanced materials. Your content should not only be unique but also deliver practical value to our readers, whether through data-backed analysis, real-world applications, or industry perspectives.

You may submit a full draft, a partial outline, or a short pitch (1–2 paragraphs summarizing your topic and why it matters to our audience). The more complete your submission, the easier it will be for us to evaluate and provide feedback.

Topics of Interest

We're particularly interested in content related to:

  • Rare earth materials
  • Advanced ceramics and high-purity metals
  • Thin film deposition (PVD, CVD, sputtering targets)
  • Technical applications of materials in energy, aerospace, semiconductors, or electronics

Other technical or application-based content related to advanced materials is also welcome.

Submission Guidelines

We accept submissions that meet the following criteria:

  • Language: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Japanese. Articles will be published on the corresponding SAM site.
  • Length: 1,000–3,000 words
  • Format: Research papers, case studies, blog posts, technical guides, or industry commentaries
  • Links: Up to 3 outbound links to relevant, high-quality sources
  • Edits: For updates to existing SAM posts, include the page URL and your proposed changes

All submissions must be original, well-structured, and professionally written.
Published articles include author bylines and may link to your website or LinkedIn profile.

Share your expertise and become part of our materials science community. We look forward to your contribution!

Review Process & Publishing

We aim to review most submissions within 5 business days. If accepted, your article will be published on the appropriate language version of our site, and you'll receive a confirmation email. Due to high volume, we regret that we may not reply to all rejected pitches.

How to Submit

Please use our submission form to upload your draft, pitch, or outline. The more detail you provide, the better we can evaluate your idea.
