Yb:CaF2 Description
Yb:CaF2 is a new type of laser crystal formed by doping Yb into CaF2. The main emission peaks are 1033nm and 1050nm, respectively, and the emission line width is 70nm. Since there are no undesired loss transitions such as upconversion, excited-state absorption and concentration quenching, they have small quantum defects, long fluorescence lifetime, high thermal conductivity, and wide emission line width. Ytterbium-doped CaF2 is a high-power diode pumping system The preferred material, a laser amplifier with high optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is one of the important potential applications of diode-pumped femtosecond (fs) lasers and amplifiers. In addition, from the current point of view, the Yb:CaF2 crystal growth technology has scalability, which enables the production of high-quality optical materials.
