Description of Iridium Wire
Iridium is a rare, precious metal that is hard, and brittle, and has a low ductility, which makes it a difficult material to work. In appearance, it is a lustrous, silvery metal. As might be expected from its position in the periodic table, iridium is stable to air and water and is not attacked by any acids, including "aqua regia." Iridium wire is a thin wire-like iridium metal. The resistivity of the iridium wire is 6.03×10-2Ωmm2/m, the tensile strength is 1493MPa, and the elongation is 10%-20%. The iridium wire can be used as high-temperature oxidation-resistant thermocouple material and filament material.

Iridium Wire Applications
1. Electrical Spark Discharge: Iridium Wire is commonly used in the manufacture of electrodes for electrical spark discharge processes, such as electrodes for cutting and machining materials in electrical discharge machining, and as ignition electrodes in spark plugs.
2. Chemical reaction catalysts: Iridium metal has good catalytic properties in certain chemical reactions, so Iridium Wire is often used to make catalysts for chemical reactions such as redox reactions and organic synthesis.
3. Medical Devices: Due to its biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, Iridium Wire has certain applications in the manufacture of medical devices, such as implantable medical devices and medical electrodes.
4. Thermocouples: Iridium Wire is often used to make high-temperature thermocouples to measure temperatures in high-temperature environments due to its high-temperature properties and stability.
5. Aerospace industry: In the aerospace industry, Iridium Wire is used to manufacture components that require high temperatures and corrosion resistance, such as rocket nozzles and gas turbine components.
