Cobalt-based Alloy Powder (Co-B) Description
Cobalt-based alloy powder is produced by melting suitable amount of tungsten and carbon or molybdenum into the cobalt-chrome alloy for strengthening. As carbon has low solubility in cobalt, there will generate WC, W2C, W6C and other carbides, which keep the alloy maintain excellent intension and rigidity under high temperature (800°С).

Cobalt-based Alloy Powder (Co-B) FAQs
Q1: What is Cobalt-based Alloy Powder (Co-B)?
Cobalt-based Alloy Powder (Co-B) is a metal powder made primarily of cobalt, with the addition of other alloying elements like boron, which enhances its properties. This powder is designed for high-performance coatings and applications that require excellent wear resistance, hardness, and corrosion protection.
Q2: What are the benefits of using Cobalt-based Alloy Powder (Co-B)?
Excellent Wear Resistance: Co-B coatings offer high resistance to abrasion, making them suitable for components exposed to friction and mechanical wear.
Corrosion Resistance: The alloy provides strong protection against corrosion, especially in aggressive environments like high humidity or exposure to chemicals.
Q3: What are the key properties of Cobalt-based Alloy Powder (Co-B)?
Hardness: Co-B alloys offer excellent hardness, making them ideal for wear-resistant coatings.
Corrosion Resistance: These alloys provide outstanding resistance to corrosion, particularly in aggressive chemical or marine environments.
High-Temperature Stability: The powder is suitable for high-temperature applications, maintaining performance even in environments exceeding 1000°C.
