Molybdenum and Molybdenum-based Alloy Powder Description
Molybdenum-based spray powders have excellent sliding properties and wear resistance. It has a low coefficient of friction, resistance to sliding wear and high ductility and is therefore often used in the automotive industry for the manufacture of engine pistons and synchronizer rings. The molybdenum-based coating reduces friction and wears in the cylinder bore due to the up and down movement of the piston ring.
