Boron Carbide Plate Description

Boron carbide, B4C, is an extremely hard ceramic material discovered in 1899. It is the third hardest material known, after diamond and cubic boron nitride.

The hardness of boron carbide and silicon carbide is extremely high, and density is relatively low, making it an ideal material for a bulletproof vest. It has good corrosion resistance, great mechanical strength under high temperature, and excellent wear resistance.
