Carbon Composite (CFC) L-Channel Description
Carbon Composite (CFC) L-Channel is a lightweight, carbon fiber-reinforced, high-temperature treated composite material. It offers superior strength and fracture resistance compared with graphite. It features excellent resistance to heat, oxidation, thermal shock, and chemical corrosion. The product has high interlaminar shear strength, exhibits in-plane isotropy, and is stable to 3600F (2000C).

Carbon Composite (CFC) L-Channel Applications
1. Ultra-High Temperature Vacuum Furnaces: In vacuum furnaces that operate at extremely high temperatures (above 2000°C), CFC L-Channels are used as structural supports and components for the furnace’s internal framework. Their ability to withstand high temperatures without deforming or losing strength makes them ideal for these harsh environments.
2. Atmosphere Furnaces: In atmosphere-controlled furnaces, CFC L-Channels are used as structural supports, racks, and other components. They maintain stability under different atmospheric conditions, such as inert, reducing, or slightly oxidizing atmospheres, ensuring the furnace's structural integrity and long-term performance.
3. Heating Elements: CFC L-Channels can be employed as parts of heating elements in ultra-high temperature applications. Their low thermal expansion and excellent thermal conductivity ensure uniform heat distribution and help reduce thermal stresses within the heating system.
4. Hearth Rails: CFC L-Channels are used as hearth rails that support trays and components being heat-treated in furnaces. Their high thermal stability and resistance to thermal cycling make them suitable for applications where repeated exposure to high temperatures occurs, such as annealing, sintering, or carburizing processes.
5. Automotive Parts: In the production of high-performance automotive parts, CFC L-Channels are used in components that are exposed to high temperatures, such as brake system parts, engine components, and exhaust systems. Their lightweight and heat-resistant properties improve the performance and durability of these automotive parts.
6. Support Structures in Furnaces: CFC L-Channels serve as support structures inside furnaces, providing stability for insulation materials, heating coils, and other components. Their high strength-to-weight ratio ensures that they can support significant loads while withstanding extreme temperatures.
7. Fixtures and Racks for Heat Treatment: In heat treatment processes, CFC L-Channels are used to construct fixtures and racks that hold parts during heating. Their ability to resist high temperatures and thermal shocks makes them suitable for supporting components in processes such as hardening, tempering, and stress-relieving.
8. Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment: CFC L-Channels are used in semiconductor processing equipment, particularly in high-temperature processes like chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or epitaxial growth. Their thermal stability and low outgassing are essential for maintaining the purity of the processing environment.
9. Laboratory and Research Equipment: In laboratory settings where high-temperature experiments are conducted, CFC L-Channels can be used as components in experimental setups or support structures for heating elements, providing thermal stability and mechanical support.
9. Aerospace Heat Shields and Thermal Protection Systems: For aerospace applications, CFC L-Channels can be used in heat shields and thermal protection systems that need to endure high temperatures during re-entry or in engine components that are exposed to extreme thermal conditions.
