Metal Injection Molding Feedstock 4340 (MIM) Description
Metal Injection Molding Feedstock 4340 (MIM) has high densities, enhancing the strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance of stainless steel. It is manufactured from pre-alloyed or elementally blended stainless steels and include austenitic, ferritic, and precipitation hardening grades.
Metal Injection Molding (MIM) means using metal powder as raw material, adding composite particles of polymer materials in the mixing and refining process, and using the "forming + sintering" method to manufacture materials and product powders materials, so as to be applied to precision structural parts. MIM can realize the integrated manufacturing of parts of different materials. It has the characteristics of wide material adaptability, a high degree of automation, and a high degree of batch production.
