Vanadium is an important alloying element for the titanium industry that makes titanium alloy stronger than commercially pure titanium without changing other properties like thermal properties and stiffness. The resulting titanium alloy can have a higher strength-to-weight ratio, and corrosion resistance. Much critical molybdenum-containing titanium alloys are used in jet engine parts in addition to medical implants, electrical contacts, and industrial motors and filaments.
